Chic Rides requirement

We accept the latest three model years: last year's, this year's and next year's. Today that means:

We use the model year on the registration and VIN, not the purchase or registration date. On January 1 the window moves forward one year: in 2027 we accept 2026, 2027 and 2028; in 2028, 2027–2029. Vehicles that fall outside lose trip eligibility until an eligible replacement is approved. We notify you in October, November and December first.

Insurance: Certificate of Liability

Chic Rides requirement

Every vehicle needs a Certificate of Liability Insurance showing Automobile Liability of at least $1,000,000 CSL per accident. Sprinter vans: at least $1,500,000 CSL.

  • Uploading alone is not enough: a reviewer checks the amount, the dates, that the policy lists this VIN or plate, and the certificate holder.
  • Insufficient, expired or unverified coverage blocks approval and trips for that vehicle.
  • Chic Rides operates as a Luxury Limousine base. TLC minimums also apply: 1-7 seats $500,000 per person / $1,000,000 per occurrence plus $100,000 PIP; 8-15 seats $1.5M CSL; 16-20 seats $5M CSL. The higher amount always applies. TLC

  • First Classfrom $1M CSL
    Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8 or similar. 3 passengers · 3 luggage.
  • SUV Classfrom $1M CSL
    Cadillac Escalade ESV, Lincoln Navigator, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Ford Expedition, Infiniti QX56, Lincoln Aviator or similar. 6 passengers · 4 luggage.
  • Van Classfrom $1.5M CSL
    Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit or similar vans for 6 to 15 people. 10–15 passengers.
  • Stretch Classfrom $1M CSL
    Cadillac Escalade Stretch, Lincoln MKT Stretch, stretch Lincoln, stretch Hummer or similar. 6–12 passengers · 6 luggage.
  • Mini Coach Classfrom $5M CSL
    Mini coaches for small to medium groups. up to 30 passengers · 15 luggage.
  • Bus Classfrom $5M CSL
    Coach buses for large groups. up to 50 passengers · 20 luggage.

Mini Coach and Bus vehicles need credentials beyond TLC and are reviewed individually.
